How it became

 History In Motion

The desire to create/build/fabricate a TransAm-style racecar-type bodied vehicle had been kicked around for many years as one of those things I would like to do but never quite got around to actually doing.  There was never the time, facility, or purpose to even start the project, and without the prospect showing it as an ArtCar in all likelihood it would never have come to fruition.

The spring of 2005, brought just enough time (or at least the desire to put off other projects long enough) to get the ball rolling, and like a snowman, once it gets started it takes on a life of its own . . . and the rest of the story is literally History In Motion.

The inspiration for History In Motion was Highway 86 presented at Expo ‘86 in Vancouver, British Columbia.  A lower-budget fair in the category of World’s Fairs, Expo ’86 was a disappointment.  But the Highway . . . ah, the Highway. . .

The theme of the Fair was transportation.  This unique superhighway was encrusted with over 200 vehicles and 44,000 cubic feet of poured concrete.  The last car seems to take flight – symbolizing man’s quest for the unknown. . .
